Rahele Akrami was a 35-year-old mother living in Tehran. She was the parent of an eight-year-old child. Her life was cut short on January 8, 2026, during the protest movements in the city. While at Narmak’s 26th Square in Tehran, Rahele was targeted by security forces who shot her at close range with a shotgun. The direct pellet fire caused her to lose her life at the scene.
